Yesterday, the Pirates DFA’d McLouth, their one-time All-Star Gold Glover. He has indicated that would not accept a minor league assignment, so he will be released if he’s not claimed off waivers.

On the DL
May 20, 2012 - Shortstop Paul Janish, on the field after celebrating a Louisville Bats victory. Janish is on the DL with a broken wrist. He was hit by a pitch on April 28. He was expected to be out 4-6 weeks, so he’ll be out another week at least.
