May 2013 - The AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders went all out with “The Office” connection. They gave out Dunder Mifflin, Inc. stock certificates, had cutouts of the characters you could pose with, and put up pictures of the cast in place of photos of the visiting players on the scoreboard.
May 11, 2013 - Jason Heyward grounds out in the 7th inning of a game between the Gwinnett Braves and the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.
The throw from shortstop Addison Maruszak pulled first baseman Dan Johnson off the bag, but he managed to stretch and get his foot back down before Heyward got there.
May 10, 2013 - Curtis Granderson, on rehab assignment with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, hits a home run off right hander Andrew Russell in the eighth inning.
It broke the tie and proved to be the eventual game-winner.
May 2009 - Pitcher Chien-Ming Wang on the mound for the AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees. He was on a rehab assignment.
Wang is with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (now the RailRiders) again this season.
Veteran players who sign minor league deals usually have opt-out clauses. Wang has elected not to use his. He is staying with the RailRiders, at least for now.
